Description: The French Bulldog is active, intelligent, muscular and heavy boned, with a smooth coat, and compactly built; of medium or small structure. The "Frenchie" is bred primarily as a pet and companion, but they also make a good watchdog. The French Bulldog is to some limits a smaller version of the English Bulldog. The Frenchie makes a good apartment dog, but also enjoys roaming outside on a leash. The French Bulldog is a wonderful companion to small children who love to play dress-up, or a lonely delivery driver looking for a lighthearted partner to ride shotgun. In a family situation the French Bulldog behaves like a child, demanding a great deal of personal attention and interaction.
