Description: The German Wirehaired Pointer is a well-muscled, medium sized dog of distinctive appearance. The German Wirehaired Pointer is balanced in size and sturdy build. The German Wirehaired Pointer has a weather resistant, wire-like coat, bushy eyebrows, and a mustache and beard. The German Wirehaired Pointer loves human companionship, but doesn't do well in apartments as they need extensive exercise. The German Wirehaired Pointer is an all-around gundog, they like to hunt birds and small animals, making them high energy dogs. The German Wirehaired Pointer also makes an excellent watchdog. The German Wirehaired Pointer is a hardy worker and a good family dog.
